Brother-In-Law and Church Finance's,
January 17, 2012
I have two prayer requests...the first is for my brother-in-law, Jay Levinson. He was diagnosed six months ago with a form of Leukemia that the doctors thought was treatable and now after treatment for the last six months the treatment regiment has not worked. The Dr's feel he has had Leukemia for the last 10 plus years and didn't know it. The latest news is not good and the Dr's recommend to quit all treatment. He is a great man and has helped thousands maybe millions through is work in marketing. He owns Guerrilla Marketing International and has written over 40 books in about 62 languages. In his career in marketing in the 60's and 70's the marketing teams he was in charge of before starting his own company developed and promoted the marketing icons that made household names of the Marlboro Man, Pillsbury Doughboy, Morris the Cat, Tony the Tiger, The Jolly Green Giant, Charlie the Tuna, Mr. Clean, The Lonely Maytag Repairman, Sears Diehard Battery, Allstate's Good Hands and United's Friendly Skies. I describe of what he has accomplished in his time here on earth because he is such a brilliant and down to earth man and a great husband to my sister and brother-in-law and I pray that he is 100% healed from this awful disease so he can continue to do good works. The second prayer request is for our church, Grace Church of Avondale. The church executive committee had to make some hard budgetary decisions a couple of weeks ago which affected three fulltime employees their positions; two pastor's and the Administrative Managers position. I ask that these three people and their families be lifted up in prayer to have doors open for them to continue God's work in the body of Christ here in Jacksonville and prayer for our church to get back on solid financial ground. Thank you. God Bless.
