So, a couple days ago I requested that people pray for my grandma, who was put into hospice. She passed away on Sunday. But I know she spent her last days of this life bathed in prayer and surrounded by love. Thank you to everyone who has been praying.

Please help me pray for a situation which continues to make me angry, break my heart, and has my stress level up much higher than what it should be. Someone who I care about (his name is Colin) may be very ill. I don't know all of the details, but for extremely self-centered reasons, the feelings of others are being discarded. This man has people around him who are helping him lie on a continual basis about what has happened, and elaborate measures have been taken to keep this deceit ongoing. There are a lot of other people who care about him who because of what these people are doing, a lot of people (many of them very young) who care about this man stand to have their hearts shattered because of lies, lies, lies...and the people who are doing the lying don't really seem to care about anybody but themselves. This has me so angry! I Please, I beg those who are reading this to please ask God to make the lying will stop! Please pray the lying will stop now! Please also ask Him to open the hearts of the people around this man, and he himself toward these people who care about him, that they will understand the severity of what they are doing, and why it is wrong. Please also pray for the healing of my friend. Please ask God to bring complete healing, and to be glorified for what He does in this man's life. Please ask God to give him a long life with a family, and a future. Thank you, so much!

God is so good and prayer so powerful! On September 26, 2011, I posted that I had been out of work long enough that I would have to sell my car to pay my rent. I wanted to have full-time with benefits, because I am a single woman approaching 60 years old. First update: I found a buyer for my car and the proceeds allowed me to pay rent so I didn't have to move. For a time, I had to rely on public transportation but someone from my Church heard of my situation and sold me a reliable older car for much less than it was worth and is allowing me to make payments. Because I had transportation, I found a full-time job with a small local company. There are no benefits and have been told it's not possible but I have been more healthy than in the past 5 years and my Doctor helped me sign up with Rx programs. I am so very grateful for a job and that I enjoy the work. I'm not behind on rent and am slowly catching up on the other bills. I can't thank you enough for all the prayers.

I had started a hospice job less than three months ago. I asked for prayers to help this job work out. I was let go from this job approximately two weeks ago. I really thought it was the job for me. I am praying now for direction. Thanks for your prayers, but I guess it wasn't the job God wanted me to be doing.

We got to see our kids twice this year... first in April and then in October during the celebration of life of my father. He passed with a long health issues. He is now praising our Heavenly Father in His presence!!! God is SOOOO Good!!!! Thank you for all of the prayers!!! :-)

On October 27th my church had a mental health seminar. Although the number of attendees was small, the seminar was really good. Although we did not have the best equipment to tape the seminar, it was taped and the tapes have been transferred to a MP4 format. One of the tapes was defective however and that portion of the seminar will have to be taped separately at a different location. These tapes will be used by those with anxiety disorders and those who are in remote locations and even in different countries. Praise the Lord we had a successful seminar. Success in ministry is not always measured by numbers but by being faithful to the call. God gives the increase and changes lives on his schedule. Our mental support group continues to grow slow but steady. And lives are being touched.

I asked for prayer about the PoWeR Group's coming to Rush Creek Bible Church. We had about 18 people attend and 4 of those have never attended our mental health support group before. We plan on having them come once a year. We heard wonderful stories from two great ladies in recovery and what God has taught them and brought them through already. There sharing their stories was inspirational and God honoring. I recommend them to every church who wishes to start to fight stigma against those who have mental illnesses. We all felt blessed and encouraged tonight.

Ten years ago I was a young teenager and had been struggling. I had a passion for music andwant to share with you an experience that strengthened that passion. My mom had tickets for a Skillet concert at a church down the road. I brought my best friend Steve there and we loved it. They were so humble that John Cooper (The singer) shared Christ with me. I left that concert wanting to be a rockstar. Had no idea I would surrendor my life over to Jesus and want to worship God with my music! Please pray for that friend I brought (Steve). he has had bad experiences within the church and is lost.

A year ago, I asked for prayer for my son, who was just deployed for Afghanistan, and married the day BEFORE he went active. The time got even more stressful for a little while, as he ripped something in his abdomen while moving boxes, and required surgery, all before he left the state. He was then put on rear detachment, which means he didn't go to Afganistan. We've never been so thankful for a hernia, and he and his new bride were able to enjoy the year together rather than separated. Thank you for your prayers - we saw God answer in ways I never would have hoped for!

Awhile back I posted a prayer request for my precious sister. She had recently found out she was pregnant with a long awaited child. There were some complications and we weren't sure the pregnancy would last. I am ecstatic to report, God is good. My sister gave birth to a beautiful baby girl thursday. a few months ago, I posted a prayer request for a friend of mine whose baby was very ill. Little Piper has been through a lot, she finally got a liver transplant. She has had many ups and downs and many, many trips to the hospital. As of last week, from the pictures I have seen of her, she is doing fabulous. She is home with her family and she even won a "summer baby" photo contest. Just rturned from Washington D.C. I wold say it was the best trip ever workng with kids, soup kitchens, homeless, and elderly. I grw so muc closerto my friends and I loved evry moment of it. I would love to thank you for everyone who prayed for my daughter-in-laws' grandfather. He had triple by-pass surgery Friday and went real well. Friday night was pretty scary though. They started to ween him off the ventilator and his blood pressure started to go hay wire and his temp plummeted. So they decided to keep him on the ventilator over night. Now he's starting to walk around and is getting stronger every day. GOD IS AWESOME. So he still has a long way to recover. So please continue to pray for him. THANK YOU all who have prayed for my daughter and her many diseases- In June I took my daughter to a prayer/deliverance pastor who prayed for her healing, and so many symptoms were healed: visual problems connected to migraines - they are gone (black spots, weird lights, wavy lines in vision). THE MIGRAINES THEMSELVES are gone (they used to happen a few times a week!) A limp that she had because of crooked hips and a shorter leg, disappeared. Much chronic pain left - the whole right side of her body was ALWAYS in pain, but not now! Her digestion is the best it has been in years, and also, no more seizures! My daughter has been bed ridden on and off for almost 11 years. ... she seems to be experiencing increasing well being and healing each day...thank you all who prayed. We are amazed -- and praising the Lord. Please praise the Lord with us...if anyone would pray for her spiritual growth, I will thank you in Heaven...please pray that she becomes a student of the Word with a heart for worship...

Thanks to all who prayed. Yesterday, people at work started bringing me boxes. You need these because you are moving, right? Three different people offered me boxes. Today, I am packing. The offer came in last night. We countered, they accepted and we sold the house today! So far it looks like this one is going to stick! Praise Jehovah our God! We have to find somewhere to move now, but I believe God has everything worked out. Please pray that the offer will close and we will use wisdom in our purchase. God's provision not only brought us a buyer but I have lots of boxes which came with very little effort on my part! Now, we have to find the right kid(s) to share our home with. God is so faithful. Thanks again!

May surgery on 6/1/12 went well. Other than a 1 hour delay, evething went smoothly. The lump and surrounding tissue that they removed was sent to pathology. That report came back good! No cancer, no other areas of concern. Praise God for He is good!! I am doing well, no real bad pain and feeling good. Thank you all who prayed for me.

First thank you to all who prayed, My daughter has relocated to Florida where she has found a job waitressing and is making ends meet. Still no insurance but Christ is with her and she know its. There is no greater gift for me than to know that she is learning to trust Him and is well on her journey with Christ. Jeff's Story After a bout of pneumonia in Aug. 2009 and then a second round in Feb. of 2010, when he did no properly recover we bagan looking for answers. Jeff was quickly diagnosed with a cancer called Multiple Myeloma. This is a cancer of the blood cells and can affect the bones and organs as well. This cancer can never be cured, but can allow patients to live comfortably in remission for years. Remission is defined as having levels to low to measure but it is always there. We will always have to be "managing" this disease. We just ask for your support and prayers as we continue along this journey. He is stubborn, and just wants to get better and return to some level of normalcy. He would love to just get back to working in the yard and back at work as well, and we hope to see him well enough to enjoy these habits soon! Larry has decided to do an Iron Butt Association benefit for his Brother in Laws medical expenses. He will be riding 1500 miles in less than 24 hours. Update on my husband.... the lab reports show that he is cancer free!! Praise God!! Now its just the recovery and healing of the incision and things getting back in control as he had a Foley Cath for almost 2 weeks. Apparently this takes time. I am still looking for a job. But I am waiting for God's timing on that front. Meanwhile, I am enjoying this beautiful weather and doing the yard work that my husband can not. Thank you for your continued prayers.

I want to thank everyone who prayed for my request. My husband was able to fix our car and get it running by September of 2011. The accident happened in April of 2011. Today, our marriage is doing just fine. It will be 10 years in July. My mother-in-law has cooperated a lot better. I have still used her car occasionally to get around. I am still hard on myself, and still do not like to talk about the accident, but, like I said, things are MUCH BETTER today because of everyone's prayers! Thank you so very much.

My last post was several months ago, but it was so nice to see that there were prayers being said for my situation today. I can joyfully report that I brought home my 6 yr old son and 7 yr old daughter from the Congo about a month ago and the trip and the time at home since has gone so smoothly. I felt so protected and safe while in the Congo, and it is not considered a safe place. The children have adjusted so well and are so sweet and fun. I think if God is laying it on your heart to pray for me it is because I started the adoption of a little boy with some orthopedic special needs even before the adoption of these two children and I am still waiting to bring him home. Some of my paperwork is expiring, so I am renewing it and hope that i can finally bring him home in the next few months. His is a complicated situation, but I really feel that his home is here with us. Please pray that this journey will finally end with him in a home where he is loved as he should be as a precious child of God, who is the father to the fatherless.

We were with out a vehicle for a while and our landlord heard we didn't have a vehicle and he owns a car lot and found us a truck that fits our family and is letting us pay him back monthly. God is so Good!

For several weeks I've asked for everyone to pray for my friend, Sarah, who was battling cancer. This past week Sarah finished her race and ran into the arms of her Lord and Savior. She heard those words that we all long to hear. Thank you to everyone that has lifted her and her family up in prayer as she was finishing her race here on Earth. Your prayers were heard and were definitely felt. Please continue to lift the family up in prayer as this weekend and Monday they prepare to say "see you later" to their daughter, sister, mom and wife. If you can, keep her daughters, ages 3 and 5, in your prayers as they adjust to life without mommy. Thank you mighty prayer warriors! What a blessing to have the body of Christ to lean on in times of strife!

Yesterday evening we were informed that our van needed shock towers and was unrepairable because of the rust on one of the towers.......We were also told not to drive the vehicle on the highway. Unfortunately this is almost impossible as I drive 30 miles one way to work on the highway and my husband drives our daughter about 15 miles one way to school using the highway. He has been out of work for almost 9 months and we are on a very limited income with under $1000 at most for new car (which would still strain our budget) and need a 2nd car to get back and forth as our schedules conflict....... Then today after trying to look for a reliable but not pretty car we come home to find out our Gas was shut off..........I have been trying patiently to hold it together and believe we were on an upward swing but this is the straw that really has put me at my last wits end......... please pray that all will work out and God will provide what is needed.

Thank you all for your prayers. A few months ago I applied to work at a Christian summer camp for the position of Camp Counselor. I have been through every program there as a camper and have fallen in love with this place and their mission. It was through this camp I found God in new and exciting ways! I wanted so much to give back now to this place and to campers. Last summer, I applied and was rejected. After months of wandering and bitterness I saw why I was rejected through a series of events. It was best I wasn't there. This summer, before applying I prayed for God's peace that this was what he wanted. I was granted IMMENSE peace. As the emails were going out I began getting anxious. I got my email and I got my summer job at this camp. Praise God! Dream come true. Now I pray that he prepares my heart for this summer and all that it will bring! God is Great.

Thank you for the prayers. My daughter was able to get in this past Tuesday to the neurologist (original appt was Feb) . He does not feel that it is migaines, something with the muscels or nerves in her neck. She will need physical therapy and is taking different medication. Prayers that this will help and get her back on the right track so she can be the wife & mom that she wants to be. Thank you again.

Thank you all for your prayers. My cousin is going through a custody battle and although the trials are not complete, God has blessed my cousin with financial stability to pay for a lawyer! Her mother does not like her daughter became Christian. And she does not want any Christian friend to meet Kaori. I want see her so badly but I have to wait till her mother will let me do so. Will you please pray that Kaori's mother will know Jesus herself and let Kaori meet me?

I asked for prayers, for our son, who was flying and traveling alone for the first time to the east coast to visit friends. I am happy to say that God answered all of our prayers and revealed himself to us in a very gentle, yet powerful way. Before our son went through the security check, we all held hands and prayed. I asked God to Please gently surround our son with His presence, to be with all the passengers and to guide the pilots safely to Maryland. After our son got in line, a few other people got in line behind him and to our disbelief, the people behind our son was a Nun and a Priest. I never expected God to do this for us in such a way, but I know in my heart that he wanted us to know, with no doubts, that he would be with our son and would bring him safely home. Thank you all for praying for my daughter as she took her road test Wednesday...She was able to pass it and will now be able to get her license on Monday. With the rain and wind on Wednesday, it had slowed to only a sprinkle during her test and the wind wasn't bad. Thank you all soooo much for your prayers!

My father-in-law went in for a last chance surgery yesterday. Thank you to all that have been praying for him the past week. I know that God has a plan in this. He was unable to do the surgery. Some of the prep to the surgery was enough to start a minor heart attack. Thankfully because he was already in the hospital, they were able to treat him immediately and he can through it ok. Unfortunately, they determined that his heart was too weak to do the surgery that was planned. The doctors are out of options, and they have only given him until the end of the year. They live over a 1000 miles away, so my husband and I were unable to be there through all this, and I can tell that my husband is very upset by the outcome. Please pray for my husband and his parents. Thank you for all your prayers!!

Thank you everyone for praying for our family. We purchased the house that was out of the school district we wanted but felt that this was the house God provided for us. Over the past few weeks I had been stressing out about finding a job. I am about to be a senior in college and along with my class schedule and the internship that I am doing, I had to quit my part time job because it wasn't working. My goal was to find a job that allowed me to not work on Sundays, as I am not comfortable doing so. Only being able to work nights and weekends made it very hard to find a job that didn't require working Sundays. I submitted a prayer request on prayerworks and continued to wait as I didn't get any calls back. Then I was searching for jobs online and I found a job opening doing something I have always wanted to do, and not only that but push me further toward my career goal after graduating. I applied and hoped for the best. Within a few days I was offered the job!!! I am SO excited and I start next week. It makes me smile that God threw me for a loop in pointing me toward an entire different direction then I was expecting but now I will be working somewhere I actually think I might really love! Thanks for all the prayers!!!

Through the mighty hand of God we brought home three boys that literally landed in our lap. We had been in the process to adopt from a West Africa nation, but felt God saying we needed to press the "pause" button. We did that and three weeks later had an opportunity to adopt three boys from Arizona. The problem was that they needed to be placed in a home immediately and we didn't have all of our paperwork in order to make things happen that fast. Furthermore, barriers kept getting put in front of us time and time again. We left everything to the Lord. He will open and shut doors where and when needed. Long story short, we were the chosen family on June 15, and the boys got to their forever home on July 4. Only God can make things happen that fast for a domestic adoption! Also, many of your prayers on JQ99 were a huge blessing and help! I can't believe how many people prayed for us and our situation! Thank you! Thank God!

The 2 year old with the rare childhood liver cancer is healed as he was taken to glory on Aug 16th. We will greatly miss him but know that he is safe, happy and healthy and that we will one day see him again if we believe in Jesus. Thank you all for your many thoughts and prayers.

I unexpectedly lost my job but God had already put me in position for a 2nd interview with another organization. I had asked for prayer that the interview would have a good outcome, resulting in a job offer. Praise God!! I was just hired! Full-time employment, including benefits and with a generous wage. Our God is mighty ... and your prayers are powerful. Thank you so much for interceding on my behalf. Thank you JQ99 for providing this forum, because PRAYER (truly) WORKS!

I want to thank those who prayed for me and are still praying. I was the one with the car accident in April, and the car situation being so messy. Me and my mother-in-law are getting along much better. (I have had to use her car to get around.) I feel a lot better about myself and my self esteem has gone considerably up! My husband got one of our non-working cars working again! And we received a financial gift to go toward our car repairs. The car that I was in the accident in needs to be put back together, but should be driveable by the end of the summer. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR PRAYING FOR ME!

Please pray for my brother in law who has a rare form of cancer in his jaw and spots on lungs, He is doing chemo right now the spots aren't growing but still the same size.He and my sister have had it very hard lost a daughter to Cystic Fibrois and this is the second time with cancer for him.

Just wanted to update, my son is out of the hospital, it was inflamation of the lining of his heart. He is on anti-inflamatories and doing well. Even back to work:) Thank you all for praying for him & our family & Thank God;)

My son was in the hospital sunday night w/ chest pains, and I put a prayer request in. He was released late last night;) The lining of his heart is inflamed and he is still in some pain and discomfort, but is doing much better:) Thank you all who prayed for him & our family;) & Thank God;)

My story is about my friend whose brother Roger has brain cancer. He first was found with tumors in 2001 and they were removed. He had not been able to work after that. In 2011 he was taken off disability because the doctor felt that Roger could go back to work(even though he was still having seizures). In April 2011 he was diagnosed with another tumor but they would not operate due to him having no insurance. Finally with enough calls and persistence the doctor and the hospital completed the surgery only to find he has astrocytoma (which means the tumor has spread like tentacles in the brain), He now has to receive chemotherapy 5 days a week and radiation 7 days a week. He has two young children. The hopital fees are over $30,000 , and he will need surgery again. I am trying to help his family out we are holding a fundraiser at Westwood Community Church in Grand Rapids on June 11 at 5pm. The christian band East of Ransom, as well as some others will be there. $5 at the door and $3 a plate for dinner.
